Sea Cliff, California
Sea Cliff, also called Seacliff, is an unincorporated community in Ventura County, California. It sits along the Pacific Coast, about 9 miles northwest of Ventura, near U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1.
The 11-acre Seacliff Beach Colony is a gated neighborhood with 49 homes built on land owned by Seacliff. For many years residents leased the land, but in 2005 the homeowners bought the land from Seacliff Land LLC. In 1991, the community was evacuated for a week after a train derailment spilled hydrazine along the railroad between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
