Scriptaphyosemion is a genus of killifish in the family Nothobranchiidae. They are found only in Africa. The genus was described by Radda and Pürzl in 1987, and the type species is Aphyosemion guineense geryi, named by J. G. Lambert in 1958. In short, Scriptaphyosemion belongs to the animal kingdom, chordates, ray-finned fishes, order Cyprinodontiformes. There are 13 recognized species in this genus.
