Scoparia fumata
Scoparia fumata is a species of moth in the Crambidae family. It is found only in New Zealand. It was first described by Alfred Philpott in 1915. The exact placement of this species within the genus Scoparia is uncertain, so it is sometimes called Scoparia (s.l.) fumata.
The moth has a wingspan of 20–23 mm. Its forewings are pale fuscous-brown with darker markings. The hindwings are grey with an ochreous tinge and a darker subterminal line.
Adults have been seen flying in December.
