Santiago Nicolás Carrera Sanguinetti (born 5 March 1994) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a centre back. He was born in Montevideo and is 1.88 m tall. He began his career with River Plate in Uruguay, making 20 league appearances and scoring 3 goals between 2012 and 2014. He then played for Sud América from 2014 to 2017, with loan spells at Huracán and Liverpool. From 2017 to 2019 he played for Defensor Sporting. In September 2019 he signed with Italian club Bisceglie. He later played for Deportivo Maldonado, Danubio, and Sud América again in 2022, then had a spell with FAS in El Salvador. In 2023 he joined La Luz, and in 2024 he moved to Guillermo Brown. Internationally, Carrera appeared for Uruguay at under-17 level in 2011.
