Santiago Ignacio Bueno Sciutto is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a centre-back for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League and for the Uruguay national team. He was born on 9 November 1998 in Montevideo and is 1.90 meters tall. Bueno started with Peñarol, where he joined the youth system and was promoted to the first team in early 2016. In January 2017, Barcelona signed him on a two-and-a-half-year contract after monitoring his progress.

He spent time on loan with CF Peralada-Girona B in 2018 and again in 2018–2019. In 2019, he moved to Girona FC on a five-year contract. He made his debut for Girona in the Copa del Rey in December 2019 and his league debut in July 2020. Bueno scored his first professional goal on 10 April 2021 against Rayo Vallecano and helped Girona win promotion to La Liga in the 2021–22 season, making his top-flight debut in August 2022. His Girona contract was renewed in January 2023, extending to 2026.

In August 2023, Bueno joined Wolverhampton Wanderers for about £8.5 million on a five-year deal. He made his Wolves debut in the EFL Cup against Ipswich Town on 26 September 2023 and his Premier League debut in a 3–2 defeat to Fulham on 27 November 2023. He scored his first goal for Wolves on 27 September 2025 in a 1–1 draw with Tottenham.

Internationally, Bueno has represented Uruguay at the U17, U20 and U23 levels and made his senior debut on 24 March 2023 in a 1–1 friendly draw with Japan. He was named in Uruguay’s wider 2022 World Cup plans but did not make the final squad. He is the younger brother of professional footballer Gastón Bueno, with cousin Gonzalo Bueno also having represented Uruguay at youth level.
