Samuel Jameson Anderson (1824–1905) was a businessperson, lawyer, and politician from Maine. A Democrat, he represented Portland in the Maine House of Representatives in 1876.

He was the first president of the Portland and Ogdensburg Railroad, formed in 1869. His brother, John E. Anderson, was one of the railroad’s chief engineers.

In 1863, while serving as a Union Army officer, Anderson was accused of libel by Bion Bradbury, the Democratic candidate for governor, after Anderson claimed Bradbury would recall Maine troops from the Civil War if elected.
