Salempur, Firozabad
Salempur is a village in the Tundla block of Firozabad district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It covers about 3.97 square kilometres and had a population of 3,355 people in 579 households in 2011, with a density of around 846 people per square kilometre. The population was 53.2% male (1,785) and 46.8% female (1,570), and 569 children aged 0–6 (289 boys and 280 girls) made up 17% of the total. There were 1,134 residents from Scheduled Castes, or 33.8%.
Earlier census data show the village growing from 1,373 people in 1961 (across three hamlets) to 2,047 people in 1981, and then to 3,355 in 2011. The area was about 980 acres in 1961, and the village had a post office at that time.
As of 2011, Salempur had 1 primary school and 1 primary health centre. Drinking water came from hand pumps; there were no public toilets, no post office, and no public library. Electricity was available for all purposes. The roads were made of both unpaved and paved materials.
