Saint Theresa Catholic Church is in Kekaha, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. It is a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu and is named after Thérèse of Lisieux. The original church was blessed in January 1941, burned down in 1977, and a new church on the same site was blessed in 1979. Marist priests served the parish from 1944 to 1985, after which LaSalette priests took over. The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity from Manitowoc, Wisconsin have staffed St. Theresa School since it opened in 1946. A sister was principal until 2006, when the school’s first lay principal took over. Hurricane Iniki destroyed the original St. Theresa School, as well as the rectory, convent, and church hall, and the church needed a new roof and other repairs.
