SMA Negeri 66 Jakarta
SMA Negeri 66 Jakarta is a public high school in South Jakarta, Indonesia. It is located on Jalan Bango III, Pondok Labu, Cilandak, and operates under the Ministry of Education and Culture. The school motto is Bersama Kita, Pasti Bisa! and it serves grades X–XII with two study tracks: Mathematics and Science (MIPA) and Social Science (IPS). It is accredited A and led by Principal Drs. Deny Boy, MM.
History: The school began as SMAN 34 Jakarta Kelas Jauh. A license to open the “Remote Class” was approved on 6 August 1980, and after a year of preparation the school launched on 20 July 1981. On 10 April 1982, it officially became SMA Negeri 66 Jakarta. A major building rehabilitation followed, and from 2002 to 2004 the school temporarily moved to nearby primary schools (SDN Pondok Labu 12, 13, and 15) while the new facilities were prepared. On 24 January 2004 rehabilitation finished and the school moved into the new building. The Governor of Jakarta, Sutiyoso, officially opened SMAN 66 Jakarta on 6 February 2004. In 2007 the Khunuzul ’Ibad mosque opened. In 2019 the B building was completed, housing the guidance office and a new hall, with science classes also taught there.
In 2016 SMAN 66 Jakarta hosted the BATIC CUP, a student cup competition; it was successful, but later not held again due to some issues. The school follows the 2013 Curriculum for X–XII, offering the Math and Science track (MIPA) and the Social Science track (IPS), along with an elective programme.
