SD Lagunak (women) is a Spanish football club from Barañain, Navarre. Full name Sociedad Deportiva Lagunak, they are nicknamed Amarillas. The team was founded in 1990 and plays at the Servicio Municipal Lagunak stadium, which seats about 1,000. The club president is Ignacio Nieto and the manager is Rubén Berrogui. In 2016-17 they competed in the Navarrese Group of the Regional Leagues, the fourth tier.

Lagunak were Navarre’s first women’s team and have had notable success at national level, finishing as runners-up in both the national league and the Copa de la Reina. They reached the Copa de la Reina final three times between 1998 and 2006. Their first final came in 1998, after beating defending champions Espanyol in the semi-finals, but they lost 4-0 to Atlético Málaga in the final. Two years later they again reached the final, this time losing to Levante UD.

When the league was unified in 2001, Lagunak began in Primera Nacional, the second tier. They earned promotion to the Superliga in 2003 after topping their group and winning promotion play-offs against FC Barcelona and Atlético Jiennense. In 2006 they qualified for the Copa de la Reina in the Superliga era, defeating CF Puebla and Rayo Vallecano to reach their third final, which finished 2-2 but ended in a penalty defeat.

The 2006-07 season saw them finish near the bottom and suffer relegation. They won Group A in 2007-08 and beat Atlético Málaga and CD Arguineguín to return to the top division. A reform in 2009 changed the top tier’s structure, and Lagunak did not reach the eight-team championship group. In 2011 the Copa de la Reina expanded, and Lagunak were defeated by Athletic Bilbao 11-1 on aggregate.

Since then, Lagunak have played in the Navarrese Regional League, gradually improving their results and currently competing in the fourth tier.
