Rosetta Calavetta
Rosetta Calavetta (27 August 1914 – 3 February 1993) was an Italian actress and voice actress. Born in Palermo, she broke through as a teenager with a small role in the 1930 film Before the Jury and appeared in several films through 1940. She also did radio work for EIAR in 1937–1938.
Calavetta became a popular voice dubber, serving as the official Italian voice for Lana Turner, Marilyn Monroe and Doris Day, among many others. She dubbed Italian versions of actresses such as Gina Lollobrigida, Antonella Lualdi, María Mercader, Silvana Pampanini and Milly Vitale. In animation, she provided the Italian voices for Snow White in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cruella de Vil in One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Darling in Lady and the Tramp, and Kanga in Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree and Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. She died in Rome and is buried at Campo Verano.
