Derin Atakan (born 16 June 2006 in Istanbul) is a Turkish kitesurfer who competes in Formula Kite. She began with Urla Marine Club in İzmir and later moved to Fenerbahçe Sailing. She became the Turkish U21 champion in Formula Kite in the 2022-23 TYF League and won the first leg of the 2023-24 TYF League in Urla.

She earned a place on Turkey's national Formula Kite team, and Formula Kite was included in sailing for the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she qualified to represent Turkey. She first competed at the Youth Sailing World Championships in Al-Musannah, Oman, finishing fourth. She had previously won bronze in 2022 at The Hague and gold in 2023 in Búzios.

In 2024 she finished fourth at the Last Chance Regatta in Hyères, earning one of the final Olympic spots for women kitefoilers. In July 2024, at the Formula Kite Youth World Championship in Gizzeria, Italy, she reached the final four and won the bronze medal, behind Catalina Turienzo (gold) and Lysa Caval (silver). Derin Atakan was born in Istanbul on 16 June 2006.
