Ronan Loughney (born 1 November 1984) is a retired Irish rugby union player who played as a prop. He began as a loosehead but moved to tighthead in 2011–12, though he mainly played loosehead before retiring. He spent his professional career with Connacht in the Pro14 (and its predecessors) from 2006 to 2017, making 184 appearances and scoring 20 points. He also played for Ireland at under-19 and under-21 levels, earned one cap for the Ireland Wolfhounds in 2012, and won a senior Ireland cap in 2012 against New Zealand.

Loughney grew up in Galway, with family roots in County Mayo, and attended the University of Limerick, where he played for UL Bohemians. He started rugby with Galwegians at age seven. He faced cruciate knee injuries early in his career but recovered to become a regular for Connacht, including their first Heineken Cup campaign in 2011–12. He reached 100 appearances for Connacht in 2012 and signed a contract extension that year to stay with the province through 2014–15. He made his first senior Ireland appearance on the 2012 tour to New Zealand.
