Ron Blaylock
Ron Blaylock (Ronald Dean Blaylock), born May 27, 1939, in Emporia, Kansas, is a former American football coach. He played quarterback at Kansas State University, lettering in 1959 and 1960. He began coaching at Emporia State while earning his master's degree, serving as backfield coach in the early 1960s. He was the head football coach at Yankton College in Yankton, South Dakota from 1963 to 1965, and then at Emporia State University (formerly Kansas State Teachers College) in Emporia, Kansas from 1967 to 1968. His overall record as a college head coach was 19–25–2. He was married to Virginia Kay Blaylock, who died in 2006.
