Road Hogs
Road Hogs is the second supplement for the After the Bomb post-apocalyptic setting used in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness RPG. Published by Palladium Books in October 1986 as a 48-page book using the Megaversal system, it was written by Erick Wujcik with art by Walter Storozuk, Brent Carpenter, and Kevin Siembieda; cover by Kevin Eastman. The book expands the game world to the western United States, focusing on mutated gangs in heavily modified vehicles and a harsh wasteland, with a vibe similar to The Road Warrior. It adds new vehicle rules, equipment, skills, and resources, plus maps and adventure scenarios. The California road maps show where factions and gangs live, with Sacramento becoming the center of civilization for mutants and humans. A short story accompanies the book about an aging turtle martial-arts master who might be Raphael. Eastman’s distinctive artwork is a notable feature not reproduced in other Palladium books.
