Mrs Stephen Fry is a fictional blogger, author and Shorty Awards–winning comedy tweeter best known for her book Mrs Fry's Diary. Edna Fry claims to be the "downtrodden wife" of Stephen Fry (who is gay) and mother to their many children. In 2010 Edna won the second Shorty Award for comedy, chosen by the Twitter community. She didn’t attend the ceremony in person, sending a video message limited to 140 characters.

Edna Fry's first book is a collection of funny tweets, recipes and stories about life with Stephen and their children. The foreword is written by Stephen Fry, which led to rumors that Edna is a creation of Stephen. He denied this on the @MrsStephenFry Twitter feed. After The Daily Telegraph mentioned the rumor on October 12, 2010, Edna asked fans to tweet or email to confirm she is Edna Constance Bathsheba Fry. The Telegraph later published a correction. Edna is the patron of Fry's Gig events. Two London shows featuring up-and-coming music and comedy raised money for Mind. Fry's Gig New York took place on July 22, 2010 at Sullivan Hall in Greenwich Village, raising money for Housing Works, a charity that helps people with HIV/AIDS and homelessness.
