Richard Voris (born 14 May 1991) is an Australian wheelchair rugby player who has represented the Australian Steelers. He grew up in Winmalee, New South Wales, and now lives in Sydney. He plays as a 1.5 classified player.

At age 19, Voris had a serious accident when a friend jumped on him in a backyard pool, crushing his neck. He became an incomplete C6-7 quadriplegic and uses a wheelchair.

In 2012 he developed myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disease. In 2018 the condition flared up and required plasmapheresis every two weeks and steroid injections to help with fatigue.

Voris started wheelchair rugby about two years after his accident and plays for the NSW Gladiators. He aimed for the Paralympics and later joined the national team, the Steelers, but missed selection for the 2016 Games.

He competed at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics (held in 2021), where Australia finished fourth after losing the bronze medal game to Japan, 52–60. COVID travel restrictions meant the Steelers hadn’t trained together since March 2020 before Tokyo.

In 2022, Voris won his first world championship gold at the IWRF World Championship in Vejle, Denmark, as Australia defeated the United States.

In December 2024, Voris was selected for the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Gen32 Coach Program.
