Rhamnus taquetii
Rhamnus taquetii (H.Lév. & Vaniot) H.Lév. is a small shrub in the buckthorn family (Rhamnaceae) native to Jeju Island, South Korea. It grows on the slopes of Mt. Halla above 1,200 meters and reaches about 1 meter in height. In Korean, it is called 좀갈매나무, meaning "little buckthorn." A synonym is Prunus taquetii H.Lév. & Vaniot (1909). Compounds found in its tissues include the anthraquinone physcion and the flavonoids kaempferol, rhamnocitrin, quercetin, and 3-O-methyl quercetin.
