Rex Mill
Rex Mill is a historic red grist mill in Rex, Georgia. It was built sometime between 1820 and 1860, probably by I. L. "Touch" Hollingsworth, who owned the mill in 1880. The mill sits on Cotton Indian Creek along Rex Road, about 1.5 miles east of Georgia Highway 42. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 (reference number 79000712). The mill is known for its red paint, with a brief period when it was silver before being repainted red after public outcry.
