Rhys Bevan Jones (1869–1933), known as R. B. Jones, was a Welsh evangelical preacher and the founding principal of the South Wales Bible Training Institute. He was born in Dowlais, studied at Pontypool Baptist College, and was ordained in 1893. He played a central role in the Welsh revival of 1904–1905, bringing it to Rhosllanerchrugog; during the revival his reputation as a stern preacher of God’s wrath grew. David W. Bebbington describes him as the leading Welsh exponent of the Keswick movement’s teaching, and notes that he became fully consecrated in 1904 under the guidance of F. B. Meyer. He is also thought to have written the first Welsh-language book on premillennialism.
