Quxue Dam is a tall rock-fill dam on the Shoqu River in Dêrong County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. It stands about 174 meters high, with a crest length of around 220 meters and a crest width of 15 meters. The dam is built as a rock-fill embankment with an asphalt concrete core and sits in a deep, narrow canyon with very steep slopes on both sides. It creates a reservoir that can hold about 132.6 million cubic meters of water. The main purpose of the dam is to generate electricity, supporting a 246 MW power station (two 123 MW Francis turbines). Construction began in 2013, the river was diverted in February 2014, and the plant was completed and began operation in 2016.
