Pseudohongiella acticola
Pseudohongiella acticola is a Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped bacterium that does not form spores and is able to move. It belongs to the genus Pseudohongiella and was isolated from seawater in the Sea of Japan near Korea. Described in 2015 by Park and colleagues, it has also been referred to as Nonhongiella acticola. In taxonomy, it is placed in domain Bacteria, phylum Pseudomonadota, class Gammaproteobacteria, with its exact order and family listed as incertae sedis. Type strains include CECT 8627, KCTC 42131, and GBSW-5.
