Postmodern theatre is a newer form of theatre that comes from postmodern ideas that began in Europe in the mid-20th century. It grew as a reaction against modernist theatre. Most postmodern productions focus on showing that truth is not fixed and invite audiences to make up their own minds. Basically, postmodern theatre raises questions rather than giving definite answers. It may use various techniques, but there is no single movement or style. These techniques are tools for reflection, questioning, and exploring human experience.
