Posthumous is a five-track EP by the American hardcore punk/metalcore band The Banner. It was released on June 15, 2003, by Blackout Records and runs 16 minutes and 11 seconds. The EP started as the band’s first demo when they were called Bruce Banner and handed out at local shows. The demo’s popularity helped them sign with Blackout! Records, and it was re-released as a CD-EP under the name Posthumous. It was the first of two releases The Banner put out with Blackout! before moving to Ferret Music.

Musically, Posthumous blends hardcore punk with metal influences. The opening track, Outgunned, features metal-style riffs but hardcore vocals. Rattlesnakes, The Screaming, and Marked For Life are fast, straightforward hardcore with New York hardcore influences and breakdowns. The Screaming has some metal influence, while Marked For Life nods to early Black Flag. The closing track, Trial By Fire, mixes metal technique in the intro and a mellow middle section before returning to hardcore with gang chants.

Jon Morozowski (bass) and Paul Jafre (drums) played on this recording.
