Poor Old Bill
Poor Old Bill is a 1931 British comedy film directed by Monty Banks. It stars Leslie Fuller, Iris Ashley and Syd Courtenay. It is the film debut of a young Peter Lawford, who plays Bill's child. The plot follows a man who takes advantage of an old World War I friend who believes the man saved his life during the war, but that belief isn’t true. The film runs 51 minutes and was made by British International Pictures. It was released in the United Kingdom on 22 June 1931. TV Guide gave it 1 out of 4 stars, saying the idea for the farce is interesting but the material is stretched too long.
