Polda Metro Jaya (Transjakarta)
Polda Metro Jaya is a Transjakarta bus rapid transit station on Corridor 1, located on Jenderal Sudirman Street in Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta. It serves the corridor that runs to Blok M and Kali Besar, and is named after the nearby Polda Metro Jaya police headquarters, with the Semanggi Interchange to the east.
The station opened for a soft launch on 15 January 2004 and began commercial operation on 1 February 2004. In 2013, it became a pilot site for solar panels. It was relocated slightly to the north in 2014 due to Jakarta MRT construction. In November 2015, the access bridge was cut in half for underground utility works, so the northern access was removed and pedestrians had to detour from the south side.
Revitalization plans for the access bridge began in late 2018, and the station was temporarily closed on 2 November 2018. The missing half of the bridge was rebuilt, and the Polda Metro Jaya station building reopened on 14 April 2019. The bridge has an iconic design similar to nearby Bundaran Senayan and GBK. The station has six platform bays (three per side) and an open-air building with a black exposed steel structure and half-height barriers.
As of 18 March 2025, non-BRT bus services also stop around the Polda Metro Jaya station.
During protests on 29 August 2025, the station was burned and damaged when protesters breached the PMJ headquarters gate and set parts of the station and skybridge on fire. Anti-riot water cannons were used to fight the fire. The station reopened on 8 September 2025 after repairs, with some architectural elements like the glass walls and platform screens replaced by simple steel barriers.
