Pittsburg is an unincorporated community in DeKalb County, Georgia. It was named after Newton J. Pitts, who owned a small concrete-block country store at the intersection of Tucker-Norcross Road and Chamblee-Tucker Road, where the community grew. The area sits at about 33.88056°N, 84.21944°W, with an elevation of 1,060 feet (320 meters). Pittsburg lies on the Eastern Continental Divide, which separates the watersheds of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The divide turns north here toward Norcross, Georgia.
