Pierre Terblanche, born 6 November 1956 in Uitenhage, South Africa, is a renowned motorcycle designer. He began in advertising before moving into design, working in Germany with Volkswagen and later at Cagiva's research center in San Marino under Massimo Tamburini. When Cagiva sold Ducati to the Texas Pacific Group, Terblanche followed to Ducati. He left Ducati in December 2007 to focus on design, not management. He then worked for Piaggio on Moto Guzzi and other brands, with Miguel Angel Galluzzi. In January 2011 he joined Norton Motorcycle Company. In early 2013 he joined Confederate Motors in Alabama as head of product development; in August 2014 his X132 Hellcat Speedster was shown. He left Confederate in late 2014 to join Royal Enfield in India, where he worked for about 20 months before resigning on 2 August 2016 for reasons unknown. At the 2019 EICMA show, Blackstone (BST) unveiled the hyperTEK, the first in-house electric motorcycle; Terblanche designed it and called it his best work. Terblanche has designed many motorcycles throughout his career.
