Philadelphia Union II
Philadelphia Union II is a professional soccer team based in Chester, Pennsylvania. They compete in MLS Next Pro, the development league that started in 2022. The club began in 2015 as Bethlehem Steel FC and is the official affiliate of Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union. They played in the USL Championship for five seasons before taking a break in 2021.
In 2020 the team was renamed Philadelphia Union II, and after sitting out in 2021, they joined MLS Next Pro for the 2022 season. The team’s colors are navy blue and gold, and their crest honors Bethlehem Steel F.C. Home matches are played at Subaru Park in Chester (capacity 18,500). They previously played at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem. The club trains near Subaru Park and has a supporters group called the East End Army. The current head coach is Ryan Richter.
