The Scandinavian Cup is an annual cross-country skiing series organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS). It’s part of the FIS Cross-Country Continental Cups, the level below the World Cup. The Cup is open to all nations, but eight countries are especially linked to it: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. It runs during the Northern winter (roughly November to March) and has been held every season since 2004–05. At the end of certain periods, the overall leaders for men and women earn a spot in the World Cup for the next period, and the season’s overall winners get a World Cup place at the start of the following season.
