Peperomia columella is a small succulent plant from Peru. It grows in dry areas, often in crevices on steep cliffs or in sandy soil, and reaches about 20 cm in height. Its snake-like stems bear tightly packed bright green leaves. The leaves are truncated and U-shaped in cross-section, with window-like surfaces on top. It can be grown as a houseplant and has earned the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
