Peckoltia otali is a small catfish in the Loricariidae family. It lives in South America, in the upper Maroni River basin in French Guiana and Suriname. It prefers clear, shallow rapids with a rocky bottom. The fish grows to about 7.7 cm (3 inches) long. The name otali comes from a Wayana word meaning "secret," referring to its cryptic color and the fact that it lives in areas used by the Wayana people. It was described in 2012 by Fisch-Muller and Covain.
