1937–38 Serie A
The 1937–38 Serie A was the 38th season of Italy’s top-flight football league and the ninth since it was renamed Serie A in 1929. It was the 15th season with the Scudetto on the champions’ shirts. Ambrosiana-Inter won the title, their fourth overall and second Scudetto since the badge began in 1924. This victory marked the first of two Inter interruptions to Bologna’s run of success, as Bologna had won four titles in six seasons up to 1941. Livorno and Atalanta were promoted from Serie B. Relegated: Atalanta and Fiorentina. The season had 240 matches with 617 goals scored (about 2.57 per match). The top scorer was Giuseppe Meazza with 20 goals.
