Pasped Skylark
Pasped Skylark
The Pasped W-1 Skylark is a rare American two-seat cabin airplane from the 1930s. It was designed and built by the Pasped Aircraft Company in Glendale, California, and first flew in 1935. The aircraft is a braced low-wing monoplane with a fixed tailwheel undercarriage. It has a welded steel fuselage and wooden wings, with an enclosed cockpit that seats two side by side. It is powered by a 125 hp Warner Scarab radial engine.
Only one Skylark was built, and it did not go into production because other two-seat aircraft of the era offered better performance with smaller engines. The sole example remained airworthy as of February 2010, owned by a private pilot in Versailles, Missouri.
