Palladaha is a small census town in Barrackpore I CD Block in Barrackpore subdivision, North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, India. It covers about 1.77 square kilometers and had a population of 5,994 in 2011 (3,052 males and 2,942 females), with a literacy rate of 77.0%. It lies near the Kalyani Expressway and is close to Kanchrapara railway station on the Sealdah–Ranaghat line, making it easy to reach by road and rail. The town has 3 primary schools; the nearest other schools are about 4 km away in Kanchrapara. Medical facilities include 3 charitable hospitals or nursing homes and 21 medicine shops. Palladaha is part of a cluster of urban areas around Kanchrapara, with Nagdaha, Palashi and Srotribati (OG) to the east and Jetia, Nanna (OG) and Chakla (OG) to the south. The Barrackpore subdivision is largely urban (about 96% of the population). North 24 Parganas district has areas where groundwater is affected by arsenic contamination.
