Pablo de Torres (bishop)
Pablo de Torres was a Spanish priest from the Dominican Order who became the Bishop of Panamá. He served from 1546 to 1560 after being appointed by Pope Paul III on January 27, 1546. In December 1553, Jerónimo de Loayza, the Archbishop of Lima, began a case to remove him, accusing him of poor administration and of not protecting Indigenous people from abuse and slavery. Torres returned to Rome in 1554, and he is believed to have died in 1560.
