Out of View is the debut album by The History of Apple Pie. It was released on 28 January 2013 in the UK and 29 January 2013 in the US. Recorded in London in 2012, the album blends noise pop, indie pop, dream pop and shoegaze, and runs for 42 minutes and 58 seconds. It was released by Marshall Teller and produced by Joshua Hayward and Jerome Watson. The album is followed by Feel Something in 2014.

Singles from Out of View include You're So Cool (19 June 2011), Mallory (27 November 2011), See You (13 January 2013) and Do It Wrong (3 March 2013). The album reached number 8 on the UK Indie Breakers Chart and number 2 on the UK Record Store Chart.

Background: Stephanie Min (vocals) and Jerome Watson (guitar) started the project by posting songs online and getting attention from labels. They formed a band by placing a Gumtree ad, which brought in drummer James, guitarist Aslam and bassist Kelly. Their first single, You're So Cool, appeared in 2011, followed by Mallory. They began recording the album in 2012, scrapped that version, and rerecorded in late 2012. The name Out of View comes from an early song the pair wrote before the band existed; it wasn’t on the album, but felt significant, so the title was kept. All songs were written by Stephanie Min and Jerome Watson.
