Otolithes arabicus
Otolithes arabicus, the Arabian tigertooth croaker, is a marine fish in the drum and croaker family (Sciaenidae). It lives in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman in the northern Indian Ocean. It was described as a distinct species in 2019, separated from Otolithes ruber, by Y.-J. Lin, Qurban, K. N. Shen and Chao. It belongs to the order Acanthuriformes. Its conservation status is Least Concern (IUCN 3.1).
