Alberto Arakaki, known as Japa, (born May 14, 1972) is a Brazilian professional vert skater from São Paulo. He started quad skating at age six in 1978, tried skateboarding until he was 15, and spent 15 to 18 on BMX flatland. At 20 (in 1995) he discovered aggressive inline skating and turned professional in 1996. He has won many vert skating contests and has competed in Brazil, Japan, Peru, and other places. His best tricks are McTwists and flatspins. He is married and has three children.
