Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL) is Ontario’s top Junior A box lacrosse league and a major source of players for the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association, it has 11 teams. The top 8 make the playoffs, and the Ontario champion receives the Iroquois Trophy. The champion then competes for the Minto Cup, Canada’s national Junior A box lacrosse championship, against teams from Alberta and British Columbia. Ontario has won the Minto Cup 56 times since 1937. Since the first NLL draft in 1996, 16 OJLL alumni have been chosen first overall. The most recent champion (2024) was the Orangeville Northmen.
