Olle Thorell

Olle Thorell, born Lars Olof Thorell in 1967, is a Swedish politician and former teacher. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party and has represented Västmanland County in the Riksdag since 2 October 2006. He lives in Surahammar. He studied at Jamestown High School in the United States, at Uppsala University (part-time), and at Mälardalen University College, studying political science and economic history. Before entering politics, Thorell taught Swedish for immigrants at ABF in Hedemora (1990–1995), worked as a Komvux tutor in Sala (1995–1998), and was a high school teacher in Surahammar (1998–2004).
