Oceans Will Rise
Oceans Will Rise is the third and final studio album by Montreal indie rock band The Stills. It was released on August 19, 2008, after recording from 2007 to 2008. The album was produced by Gus Van Go and The Stills for Arts & Crafts. The band felt a renewed energy during recording, according to singer Tim Fletcher. Two tracks, Being Here and Rooibos/Palm Wine Drinkard, were released for download on Spin magazine's site. Critics noted that the album blends a hint of the 1980s sound with the band's more open, earthy style. Oceans Will Rise won the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year in 2009. The song Everything I Build appeared in the 2009 ABC show Defying Gravity, and I'm With You was used in a Canadian Alexander Keith's beer commercial.
