Oceanobacillus kapialis
Oceanobacillus kapialis is a species of bacterium. It is Gram-positive, rod-shaped, and strictly aerobic (needs oxygen). It forms spores and tolerates salty conditions (moderately halophilic). It belongs to the genus Oceanobacillus, with the species name kapialis, and was described by Namwong and colleagues in 2009. The type strain is SSK2-2 (also listed as KCTC 13177, PCU 300, and TISTR 1858).
