The Nunthorpe Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Britain for horses aged two years and older. It is run at York Racecourse each August over 5 furlongs (1,006 metres) on turf, on a straight track.

History and details
- The race began as a lower-grade selling race in 1903; the current version started in 1922, with Two Step the first winner.
- It is sponsored by Coolmore Stud since 2007 (it was known as the William Hill Sprint Championship when William Hill sponsored it from 1976 to 1989).
- Since 2011, the winner earns an automatic invitation to the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint as part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge series.
- The race is notable for allowing two-year-olds to compete against older horses. The first juvenile winner was High Treason in 1953, and the most recent juvenile winner was Kingsgate Native in 2007.
- It is part of York’s Ebor Festival, taking place on the festival’s third day.

Weights and prize money
- Weights: 2-year-olds 8 st 3 lb; 3-year-olds 9 st 11 lb; 4-year-olds and up 9 st 13 lb. Fillies and mares get a 3 lb allowance.
- Prize money: total purse £697,500 (2025), with the winner receiving £395,552.
