Noticias Telemundo
Noticias Telemundo is Telemundo’s news division, owned by the NBCUniversal News Group, a unit of NBCUniversal under Comcast. It is based at the Telemundo Center in the Miami suburb of Hialeah, Florida, and serves the United States and Puerto Rico. The division produces the flagship Noticias Telemundo newscast and other programs such as Hoy Día, Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste, Enfoque, and Noticias Telemundo: Fin de Semana. Its major bureaus are in Miami (International Headquarters at 2350 NW 117th Place), Mexico City, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The division also uses video content from NBC News.
Key leadership includes Luis Fernandez as Executive Vice President of News for Noticias Telemundo, Humberto Duran as Vice President of News, Joe Uva as COO of NBCUniversal Hispanic Enterprises and Content, and Luis Silberwasser as President of the Telemundo Network.
Founded in 1999 as Telemundo’s in-house news division, Noticias Telemundo launched Noticiero Telemundo and Noticiero Telemundo Internacional in 2000 after ending its prior collaboration with CBS Telenoticias. Over the years, the network expanded with morning shows and additional newscasts, including Al Rojo Vivo and Un Nuevo Día, and in 2015 Noticiero Telemundo became the first national U.S. newscast produced entirely with mobile devices.
