Noirhouse
Noirhouse is an Australian dark comedy indie web series. It stars Melanie Irons, Nathan Spencer and Mick Davies. The show plays with film-noir ideas, following three main characters: a shady detective, a femme fatale, and a Russian mobster. It premiered in September 2013 with an early screening at the Peacock Theatre in Hobart, then released online as a three-episode first series. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation picked it up for a second season of six episodes, shown on the iView platform starting in November 2014. The series was funded by Screen Tasmania and Screen Australia. It has two seasons and nine episodes in total. It is produced by Fiona McConaghy, directed by Shaun Wilson, filmed in Hobart, and originally in English.
