Robert Drummond Balfour (1 March 1844 – 7 May 1915) was an English cricketer and stockbroker. Born in Putney, Surrey, he attended Bradfield College, Westminster School and Magdalene College, Cambridge. A right‑handed batsman and wicketkeeper, he won four consecutive Cambridge Blues from 1863 to 1866. He played club cricket for I Zingari and Cirencester XXII against the United All-England Eleven, and made his first‑class debut for Cambridge in 1863. He later appeared for MCC, the Gentlemen, and even represented Scotland in its first capped match against Surrey. In 59 first‑class innings he scored 685 runs at 12.45, with a top score of 82, and made 33 wicketkeeper dismissals. He shared the field with W. G. Grace in a 1872 MCC match. After Cambridge he became a stockbroker with Capel & Co. He married Catherine Elizabeth Donaldson in 1876 and died at Sherrards near The Frythe, Welwyn, Hertfordshire.
