Newton Chandler (19 September 1893 – 24 March 1997) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL) from 1919 to 1924. Born in Euroa, Victoria, he came from the Brunswick Football Club and joined Carlton at age 19, though his debut was delayed by World War I. He was a forward who played 69 games and kicked 11 goals. Chandler played in the 1921 VFL Grand Final, which Carlton lost to Richmond. After retiring in 1924, he served Carlton as secretary (1934–1939, 1956), vice-president (1940–1943), and treasurer (1944–1958). He lived to 103 and was nicknamed "The Grand Old Man of Carlton" for his long service to the club.
