Nelson Mandela Bay Giants were a South African Twenty20 cricket team that played in the Mzansi Super League. They were based at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, and were founded in 2018. The team was captained by JJ Smuts and coached by Eric Simons. They competed in the league’s first two seasons, 2018 and 2019. The 2020 season was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 the team was dissolved as South Africa restructured its domestic cricket. The MSL was planned to be replaced by eight new teams, but the league was cancelled and later replaced by the SA20 competition from 2022/23.
