Navia (vehicle)
Navia is an electric, driverless 10-seat vehicle built by France’s Induct Technology. It can travel up to 20 km/h (12 mph) and uses four LiDAR sensors plus stereo cameras to create a real-time 3D map of its surroundings. It doesn’t require rails or road changes. The vehicle is being tested at campuses in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. In Singapore, plans are to run a 2 km (1.2 mile) route between Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and JTC CleanTech Park, where passengers choose a destination stop on a touchscreen.
